I am curious what people think about putting Xpel paint protection film on their cars. I am planning on covering the bumper, fenders and 24" of the hood. Does anybody have any feedback, positive or negative?

If you are going 24" on the hood, you should just do the full hood. I have a rock chip on my hood about 6" from the windshield, and I wish I had done the complete hood.

Damn, I know my Roush has about the same coverage on the hood, and I too have a chip half way up. Guy is talking 500-600 more for full hood coverage. Thanks for the feedback. I will really think about it.

Great product. I had it on my GT500 and will add it to my 350. For those of you who have it or similar clear bras on your 350's, do you have it installed over your stripes? I did not on 500 because stripe was a matte finish, but the 350 stripes are gloss finish.

Yes, I had mine installed over the stripes. Some areas have a minimum gap, but you have to really look for them. From a normal distance, you can't see them.

If you look to the left or right of the stripes, you can see them.

I had front bumper, full hood and partial front fenders covered with Xpel before I go tracking. Never heard a bad report on it.

Clear Bra

I'm having my ENTIRE car wrapped while she still has only 200 miles on her.

On Monday my detail guy spent 10hrs doing a paint correction, taking any light swirl scratches out that the dealership had put in, it came out amazing!

Here's a pic of the detail guy doing a final inspection



And yesterday I dropped her off for the Suntek wrap, it's going to take them 7-10 days to do the job.
Took a couple pics today, they've taken off the bumper, mirrors, door handles, inner door panels.
I'll add some more pics as the job progresses

thank you! I painted that in by hand on my work bench before I installed it.

I had my car ceramic coated on the shiny side (top) with a Kenzo 5 year coat and the underside, engine bay and inner fender wells with eclipse .

Getting STEK Dyno Sheild installed on full front of the car, mirrorz, A pillars and leading edge of the roof. After comparing STEK to XPEL and Suntek it was an easy choice. Had my wife's Edge front end wrapped with STEK and it's been terrific.

Looks good! How warm/hot do those coil covers get?

Uuummm....probably 200+. Just as a rough estimate, you figure underhood temps are going to at least be as hot as the cooling/cylinder head temps.
