You should check your rear belly pan along the back edge, the factory left 8 fasteners out. I think that large of a part should be held on by more than 2 screws and 2 plastic clips, so I put 8 extruded nuts and stainless bolts across the back.I changed my oil and discovered the dealer left half the bolts out of my front splitter.
That's just not right....I changed my oil and discovered the dealer left half the bolts out of my front splitter.
Hey GT Dave, any chance of sending a photo or 2 for your fix?You should check your rear belly pan along the back edge, the factory left 8 fasteners out. I think that large of a part should be held on by more than 2 screws and 2 plastic clips, so I put 8 extruded nuts and stainless bolts across the back.
I'll never have to worry about that part.
I sent a query to Manley about conrods, they said they are working on them with Ford Racing. Must be nice to be in the businessI ordered manley rods and pistons, a fore innovations fuel system, spoke with my clutch manufacture that has my clutch in hand about a new design, and started to look at different cage options.
Put the struts on yesterday. 10- 15minutes install. Did it solo, no problem. works perfect.Met with my town's road agent to correct the slope from the road to my driveway (Over the summer, town had added yet another layer of asphalt to the road). Also ordered Redline Tuning Hood struts in black- considered the AG painted but decided to go with the black because there's plenty of black under the hood & I wanted to go w the powder coat rather than paint . Will also peel decals off for aesthetics.
Thanks for the info Boss Doc. Noticed my hood was misaligned a bit so I'm gonna hold off on the Redlines until I can get to hood straightened out.Put the struts on yesterday. 10- 15minutes install. Did it solo, no problem. works perfect.
Typically a connecting rod bearing dies from lack of oil or most likely detonation. If you see the top half of the bearing is trashed then it is detonation. Was it tuned by someone?I sent a query to Manley about conrods, they said they are working on them with Ford Racing. Must be nice to be in the business. I found out about one Shelby out here that spun a conrod bearing. Possibly due to excess flex in the conrod.
