The ONLY Thing...

Just rolled 500m on my car and absolutely love it!
The only thing that I have to gripe about is the A/C control.
I like to set it to lock into dual-zone control, so when you change the temp it controls the driver's side & passenger side.
I'm doing this almost every time I get into the car. Why does it default back into independent controls every time I turn the car off.
Seems retarded. Or am I missing a setting somewhere..?

But that's my only complaint.

Some one surely will chime in with solution. I assume its some thing in the settings cause mine doesn't. What ever I have dual zone temp. set at it is all the same when I restart the car. But that is with the auto control on.

ok that's good news, thanks. I will double check to see if my auto control is on tomorrow.
So here's a tip I discovered on my Focus ST and this is the same way. If you have it set on Auto, it will select the compartment and fan speed based on temp selection and other factors, right?? Well, if you start in Auto, you can then make your own manual compartment selection. Don't touch the fan speed and the fan speed will remain in Auto based upon temp selection, but the manual compartment selection you made will remain in place, even after stopping and restarting the car. Hope that made sense. This has turned out to be my most preferred way to operate. But I don't understand why yours is swapping the temp control back to independent sides. Mine never does that. It will remain in whatever the last selection was; dual or independent.

well...not sure that's my situation. I'm not changing the fan speed, just the temp, and it always does it from the driver's side only, til I go into the menu and hit "dual" then it's locked for both sides, until I stop the car and then we have to start over again..
Yea dude, that’s weird. I know my tip wasn’t much related, but try it and see what it does for staying in dual.
Yeah on the other forum someone said that I need to have Auto Control on for dual to stay locked. I'm not sure if it was in auto or not.
I will test that next time I take the car out, it's raining here right now so she's tucked in till it drys up out there ;)
I drove mine to work today. Will play around. I got a f$&#ing nail in my f#[email protected] Tire, but that’s another story...just needed to vent.
So I wasn't using the Auto button before. Today I did use the Auto & A/C and set the dual zone control. Went to the store, came back out started her up and it had switched back to independent zone control, and the A/C wasn't on either, but it was still on auto. Any ideas?
Played around with some stuff today. Long story short, mine pretty much stays in the same configursrion the car was last running in. Odd. I’m stumped.

Ok so I figured out why mine was breaking off of the dual-zone lock and going to independent control:
- If you have the zones locked in dual-zone mode and you control the temp dial from the driver's side dial it will stay locked.
- once you touch the passenger's side dial it reverts to independent zone control until you go back into the climate control menu and select dual zone again.
I knew there was a fix out there.
I own a '17 GT and a '17 350R. Both remain where I set them after shut down, auto mode or manual. But the computer in the GT has a mind of it's own and sets the alarm off when closing (not opening) the trunk.

LOL, laughing with you not at you as I've had the same thing happen (and it pixxed me off too). Was $368.00 for a new right rear tire!! Don't let them patch it, not on this car! Hope you have a tire warranty?
