Don't know of some thing to protect like scotch guard is for cloth seats but Sonax alcantara cleaner works well for cleaning your alcantara leather. And theres other products that work as well.
Agreed. I’d apt not to apply some type of protectant. My personal choice is Adam’s leather cleaner diluted 3:1 and good soft boars hair brush. The brush cleans obviously, but also revives the fibers from getting matted down.
