Well, I couldn't help myself and removed the stripes last night. Was a hot day and they easily peeled right off. I did have the hair dryer just in case but didn't really need it. I'll post pics as soon as I have time to wash/wax, there's just a tad of adhesive residue on the top of the front bumper. Also, I tried to remove the rear spoiler as the tape runs underneath it but with all 4 (two center/two outer bolts off) it wouldn't budge, that adhesive is strong and I felt as if I might actually damage the trunk lid if I pulled any harder. Next step is to have my local wrap shop wrap the roof in gloss black just like it comes painted from factory. That is the way I would have ordered it and if I like the wrap, I'll likely have body shop paint.

The car looks (IMO) more sinister now and all the black trim & wheels really go well with the Lightning Blue...all subjective of course... Also, it doesn't stand out around the local LEO's near as much, I had a Motor LEO following me yesterday as he heard me drive by and assumed I was speeding...

Forgot to mention, if you're planning on removing your stripes, don't wait a long time as I could already see a VERY faint shadow where the stripes were. I suspect if I'd waited a year to remove stripes it would be more noticeable. Mine was built on 9/11/2017 and has been parked in garage (when not being driven) since I picked it up on 10/7...

And you have the black stripes...subjective I know but I would have preferred black to the white.

First GT350 I saw in a showroom was same color with Blue stripes... that would have been a pull!

As I shopped for a GT350 spring of 2016, I didn't want stripes. At my age (I'm on Sociable Security), why would I want racing stripes? The answer came when I saw a GT350 on the road, stripes helping me with recognition. My heart lept!

I realized then that it would be wrong of me to keep that joy from other people.

My R was delivered to the dealership nearly 1 month after it was built, there it was parked in a spare garage bay for 2 days before I picked it up and took it to my detailer where they immediately removed the stripes. No issues with ghosting, but I deffinitly would recommend removing stripes right away if you're thinking about going that route.


Then FULL car PPF was applied and stripes were replaced I usually don't like stripes, but I think they look at home on these cars.

LOL, great point and I have a good friend with Red w/white stripses 2007 GT500. He feels the same way, but I kind of think with so many Mustangs and other manufactures using racing stripes these days, it's still kind of hard to tell if it's a realy Shelby or not. I do hear you though and removing the stripes was not an easy decision - especially since the early GT350's where white w/blue or Blue w/white....

Nice, I love that color combo...trouble is I like all the colors and could have one for every day of the week Mineral Gray w/black, Avalanche w/white, Ruby Red w/white, Solid black, so many choices
