Small stuff I realize, but was thinking the Cobra center caps might look better than the Ford ones that come stock. The seller (ebay) says these are Ford OEM caps (see Ford part # below) for $24.53 (set of 4 caps). this sounds way to cheap for OEM center caps, anyone familiar with these?

Ford Part#: 6M21-1003-AA
Face Diameter = 54mm (2 1/8" or 2.125")

For sure I like them. You can see they are setting on a OEM Ford bag. Get some and lets us know. If they are nice I will get a set

This is where these Forums need to have moderators that try to get vendors on here so we can make group buys for a discount.

I bought a set in Red off of Ebay and they look great. Just make sure You get the right size as they come in many different sizes.

Hey Pipers, would you be able to share the size? I called a Ford dealer to find the size and he was having a hard time finding it!

Wheel Caps Installed

Got these in a while back, just waited till I had time to take the wheels off for full cleaning and install of the caps.
Great quality, great fit. Black lugs & black metal valve caps, done!

Racer172, what size are those and where did you get them?
Thanks for the link. So do I understand your Shadow Black was outfitted with Chrome Lugs? Same as my Magnetic Silver...

Yes, replaced the chrome with these black lugs https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0765L88XQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I am happy with them. They are slightly smaller than the OEMs and come with their own socket.
You know those Sunex plastic-coated sockets I use.. the 19mm fits these black lugs perfectly.
I like that these are smaller cause it leaves more of a gap between the wheel and less chance for scratches.

I think your choice is the proper Cobra logo for our car. I found a version like this (proper logo) on eBay for $8.87 out of China for a 60mm set. If you look at Racers version the Cobra has scales, no scales on the badges on our car. I dought the items your looking at are any different even if they have a Ford p/n on them.

From China (slow boat), but I felt worth the gamble...

Just saw a close up look at the new GT500 on uTube. The center caps on the wheels have changed to the Cobra (from “Ford”), they look just like the ones above! LOL. I guess we’re just ahead of the curve.
Installed my new center caps, yeah, can’t do it without taking off wheels (didn’t want to risk scratching rims). But for under $10 (and a trip from China), they look great and fit perfect. Prob same company making them for Ford.

Hey Jim, me likey!! Going to order today as well. Too bad there's chrome around the perimeter, black with just the Cobra in Chrome would be cool. I was also looking at the "Ford Performance" center caps...but it just doesn't quite look right. Ford needs to come up with a "Ford Performance" symbol common to all their vehicles (in addition to the words) - hope that makes sense? Perhaps a RED oval with Ford performance in it or similar?

JT quick question...do the Cobra center caps sit flush just like the OEM caps?

thx!
Ordered!!

Plus will give me a chance to "deep clean" the wheels, with the size of the rotors, it's nearly impossible to do a good job cleaning the inside of the wheels!

Yeah, they push in. Easy once old cap is out which I pushed out from back side. Looks like the old ones are worth 5x what I paid for these, should sell ‘em... lol. Not.

And yes, the only way to clean is take off, my wife doesn’t understand...
Don't do it. I gave it a try. They didn't snap in tight. Drove about 2 miles and they flew off. The back tabs won't stay pressed into the wheel properly. The caps looked great but not when you lose 'em.
^ Mine caps (shown in post #6) have not come off and fit tightly and I've been up to 150mph with them on.
Oh and on that same note my rock blockers haven't come out at those speeds either.
My caps (shown on post #13) were good to 125mph, at that point I lost the plastic cobra insert in the left front.
Uh oh. I ordered a set yesterday, and a set of black Gorilla lug nuts to replace the chrome factory nuts.
