Recall for oil cooler crimp problem

2140 Views 8 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  BOSS DOC
Was at Laguna Seca on friday, at Tec I was told that there is a Oil Cooler crimp problem that causes catastrophic loss of oil pressure and is a fire hazard. Did a Google search when i got home and Ford has told all dealers to not sell or deliver any GT 350's. No Demos either. On Saturday i received the FORD Recall notice, there will not be a fix til Jan 17. Anyone else have info on this?

I had checked with my dealer about this about a month ago and was told that the recall letters wouldn't be going out until Dec 12. Also asked about driving it and they said they had no information about not driving the car. This forum has discussed this issue but I don't recall ever hearing from anyone that had direct experience with a failure. I am going to keep driving the car as long as the weather permits

Got my recall letter last week, I will continue to drive my car. No one that I know is very concerned about a failure.
Same here.... Got the letter last week and taking my chances...hahaha.. Car is too much fun to drive.
finally got my letter today but not a word about not driving the car. We have an oil temp gauge and oil pressure gauge sitting almost in front of us--easy to watch. Any sudden drop--shut it down

I received my letter too. Sorry to hear the fix will not be available until after the 1st of the year.
Got the fix done on 1 Mar 17.
Did you get a letter on the mail or just asked at the dealer? Local dealer still tells me they are waiting on a fix. :/
Had an appointment for other minor problems and asked about recall. They checked and said parts available, so I said fix it.
