Have any of you with R models noticed the front wheels, behind the spokes, appear to be white and unfinished, whereas that same area on rear wheels is black and smoothly finished? Other than the size, why the difference between front and rear wheels?

According to what I've read:

The problem is potential heat from the front brakes, during track use, and close proximity to the inner barrel of the front wheels.

The solution is the ceramic spray coating you see on the inside of the front wheel barrels and also the backs of the spokes.
