With as much brake dust our cars put out a lighter wheel will show it even worse unless you go to ceramic pads then possibly won't have all the brake dust. I never had a car before that the brake dust was so awfully bad.
Ditto, my Carrera S had lighter wheels and the brake dust was a nightmare! 20 miles after painstakingly cleaning the wheels they'd be awful looking again. I was very pleased we have the black wheels as they don't show the brake dust (as quickly) as the Porsche did... If I were to change anything, I'd likely have them powder coated the EXACT color of brake dustWith as much brake dust our cars put out a lighter wheel will show it even worse unless you go to ceramic pads then possibly won't have all the brake dust. Rock Auto has two different brands. You know where to get ceramic pads? Everyone I have asked has said they don't make them for this car.
It's funny though how much they thinned out the spokes on the lighter ones. They know the more surface area, the more brake dust coverage hahahttp://www.shelby.com/eblasts/070418-CSWC/CSWC070418_04.jpg
New wheels from Shelby for the GT350 & GT350R.
I think you'd be happy if you added some color to the wheels area. That's why I'm painting my calipers to give it some color.600 miles on my '17 Impact blue...love it love it love it.
I have never been a fan of black wheels, though. Can't change. So, at some point, I'll need to do something about that.
I'm not finding much in aftermarket wheel choices for the car...at least not listed as direct fitment from reputable vendors.
Right now, it seems my options are:
1.Have stock wheels painted or powdercoated a lighter color.
This is probably simplest and cheapest.
2.Wait for some PP2 take-offs.
These look very nice...it seems from the data that they might be a direct swap? Do I have this right?
3.Wait for the aftermarket to come up with some choices.
I guess I might be hoping in vain if it hasn't happened already.
