Hello I am new to this forum and had some questions I recently took my car to the Dyno and came back disappointed my car is completely stock besides the resonator delete and my numbers came back super low in my mind around 400 hp dynojet numbers does anyone have any ideas why or what would cause this took it in to the dealer to get a aliment (11,000 miles and out of aliment already ruined my front tires) and told them to look in to it no codes or problems that they could see so they said the car is fine. Please help!!
Ok there are a few things to consider here, 400hp is a REALLY low # but I'll address a few things.
1) the most obvious is the dyno measures the hp at the rear wheel, not at the crank. Our 526hp is at the crank, you can subtrack 15% to get hp at the wheel.
2) I have done a lot of dyno runs with my racebikes over the years and every dyno gives a different hp #, some are inflated and some are low #'s.
3) Was your TC turned off? when on the dyno you need to have traction control turned off or you get slip
4) and speaking of slip if they didn't secure your car down really tight to make good ground contact then there's more slip
the gas could have some effect but you'd be noticing a huge engine sputtering & knocking before you saw that kind of a hp drop in the #'s
