Anyone switch out the Oem pads for lower brake dust pads?

EBC is coming out with their Red pads to fit us. If they ever hit the shelves, they’ll be unmatchable in the dust department. And no slouch in other areas on the street. I’m paitiently waiting on that instead of rolling the dice on something else.
Good to know. I'm watching.
I find that brake pads designed around less dust compromise other areas. Either the pad wont stop the car during performance driving or pad becomes to aggressive on rotor causing expensive metal ware and rotor distortion. Brembo made a good performance combo, their draw back dust... I think it’s a good balance. Nobody has it 100% right.
.
All true...balance and a choice of qualities. Yes, brake pads are another area where you don’t get your cake and get to eat it too. You have to decide what’s the important quality to you. What I strongly disagree with however is your statement about performance. You make it sound like, and I get concerned that, some guys will read your comment about the stopping the car and get the impression it’s borderline unsafe when nothing could be further from the truth. Take the EBC Red pads I mentioned. Would I want them on the track? Probably not. Will they handle ANYTHING you could possibly throw at it on the street? Absolutely. Have had two sets and they’re awesome. Oh, and no noticeable excess rotor damage. IMO, and At the risk of sounding like my dad here, if someone’s exceeding the limits of a ceramic pad on the street, they’re a f#$&ing idiot anyways.
Any updates as to when these EBC pads will be available? I'd like to get 20-ish minutes of my life back each time I was the car... lol

Tell me about it! Some folks don't care...I am not one of said folks! No update yet. BUT, I am still communicating with them. Still working with the UK to pin something down. Spoke to my guy just today.

Out of curiosity, since I got an email for 23% off from Autoanything.com yesterday I went on there to see what brake pad options they have for our cars. It had EBC Red pads listed on there when I selected the make model and sub model of my vehicle with an availability date around 8/13. Any idea if that's a legit date?
It is not legit. If you order them, they’ll just start kicking the can down the road. They are not available and I don’t have an ETA yet. I will pass it along when I get an update. I think EBC jumped the gun cause my guy is asking me to do some testing for EBC. So that’s makes it sound like they’re further away than originally led to believe. We’re not talking years or anything as I’m already working with the UK on getting a test started. Currently awaiting a timeframe for us to get together on a plan.
Ok cool. Thanks for the clarification.
