Hi everyone,
It just dawned on me that when I joined (and I have forgotten exactly when that was) the site was acting goofy, and for some reason I was never able to post an intro. So, I'm Bobby, 48, widower, former cop, retired Air Force C-130 Navigator, currently a Christian apologist teaching Sunday School at church, one 19-year-old son, here in the Montgomery area of Alabama but from Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina. I've got a 2016 GT350, magnetic gray, technology package. It came with black/white stripes from the factory. I wanted to add a little color, so I put my own custom blue stripes with red accent stripe on the car. I just recently put the red Brembo brake calipers from the GT350R on to finish the touch of color I wanted to add. Other than that, I have tinted the windows and put on a tow hook. I am considering an MGW shifter.

I've tried to upload some pics, but it just ain't happening. For some reason it tells me that .jpg is not a valid image file. I ain't a smart man, but I sure was convinced it was...lol.

Thanks, Racephan. White with blue was exactly what I was looking for! The dealer actually tried to swap with other dealers, but they all wanted a premium on top of sticker of course. I don't know how, but I actually got mine at sticker - no fuss, no haggling, the owner/sales manager just said sticker when it came to start talking dollars. So I wasn't about to pay a premium to anyone else just for a color. I'm curious if I'm the only person to avoid a markup so far.

Now I've come to love the magnetic gray. Before, I'd always thought gray/silver cars were so boring. But the dealer told me he sells more gray vehicles of every type - car, truck, SUV, van, you name it. Apparently that's true across most, if not all, brands and types. And I was getting rid of a deep impact blue GT with white stripes, so the contrast was glaring to me at the time. And since I've added some touches of color, I'm digging it way more.

I knew I wanted white with blue trac pack. Searched all over to get my deal.
I did not pay ADM either. I worked hard to avoid it. Keep in mind, this was last September!! This was not easy, as the hype was so great back then.
As far as the gray, the Ford gray is beautiful, especially when the sun hits it. Good choice.

Hey, Bobby! Actually I am a new member as of today I believe. First, appreciate your looking out for us here in the States and everywhere.........my thanks to you for that.
Next, I am a professional Realtor here in Hermosa/Manhattan beach area of the South Bay, Los Angeles area of Calif., 36 years of the work and still trekking!! Was a professional beach volleyball player for 10 years and now........happy as heck!
I have always been a car guy......started in high school and never ever really left me, just took a long pause!! Had a '65 replica of the Shelby Ford Cobra, 427 built and driven for 6 years. Can't even begin to describe the fun!! OMG!
Then sold and bought a 1965 Ford fastback and was a mirror image of the real GT 350. Nice car, got lots of attention, but just couldn't get it to go fast and wasn't going to mess up a nice engine to do so. Sold it, bought a 2010 Porsche 911 Carrera S 997,
that was a blast for 2 weeks, but I know myself, so I sold it back, went online and searched and searched and finally found the car............2016 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS......triple black and really fast!! Love it for about a year and then sold since I had a project in the Islands in the works but bagged that idea and now was back into car thinking. My daily driver is a Tesla Model S so its not like I am dying to have another car. Finally I chose to look, investigate and research more, the Ford Mustang GT. That was to be my next order...NEW and ready to go....but of course, I know me, and decided to go big if I was going to go at all. Then, you guessed it.......decided to look at a 2016 GT 350, get a good price, good mileage, and car. After looking at the prices and seeing how the cars are harder to find....low miles and decent price point, I looked at a new one.......what the heck, go bigger or go home!! Then I called around, probably like Bobby and few others of you all........and the over sticker price wasn't of interest to me. Looked and looked and finally found one in San Diego who agreed to sticker since I told them.........'hey, you advertise $60k ish and then when we call you revert back to Plus pricing", "isn't that false advertising?'...we agued for a while and finally she said her manager will give you sticker if you get it soon, or it goes to sticker +. My bad.......I hemmed and hawed and when I was clear I called back , was told they would stand by their words, however, another customer was on the floor looking and if he doesn't buy, it's mine.
I knew I was to be disappointed so I looked at my endless sea of notes........and called a guy in Phoenix Ariz. Said he would stick by sticker price. I committed , flew out next weekend , wrote a check, and drove the sweet ride home, 61/2 hours later.
BTW...the one in SD was Magnetic with a black stripe.....but the color I truly wanted was white Blue stripe. And this was!! Fully loaded with all I would order if had to. Love the car, learning more about the car and it's capabilities and technology.
Long story but one I believe others would appreciate...this car is more fun than I expected and more enjoyable than any of the others, with exception of the Cobra roadster.
Looking now for wheel locks so I keep the bad boys away.
thanks for letting me digress...............
Fred.
