Hello everyone,

I finally decided to pull the trigger and bought a 2016, I found it in Houston TX last week and finalized the deal last Thursday, My girlfriend and I flew down on Saturday and drove her back to Colorado. So far it's everything I hoped it would be and more, I already have a 2015 GT that I love but the Shelby is an absolutely different animal!
A little about me I work in the railroad industry as a Sr Manager of Train Operations, I basically handle the day to day operations of the local trains as we call them, they handle all the cars that go to and from industries along my territory, I also have an auto unloading facility where we unload all the new cars from the train and ship them to dealerships throughout the Midwest and western states, It's a awesome place to see the new vehicles before they hit the dealerships, I actually watched my 2015 roll off the train, it wasn't mine at the time but was coming to the dealership here in my town and I made the deal before they even knew it had arrived.
I have two son's that are 21 and 15, my youngest son is the car guy and is just chomping at the bit to drive the new toy, not sure when I'll let him give it a go but it'll happen some day.
My other hobby is finding and restoring vintage gas pumps and collecting old gas station items, such as cans, signs, maps and pretty much anything else I can get my hands on.

Here is a picture of them in their barn,
Look forward to meeting some like minded people and learn what everyone else enjoys.

Congratulations on your purchase ...... they are great cars !!!

Just a FYI ...... I am sure you did your homework and assume this was a used vehicle. The 16 models have a oil line cooler safety recall that should be out soon.

I would have your vin checked to see if your car is on the safety recall. There are outside companies making new cooler lines to put your mind at ease until ford comes out with there lines

Did you get the track pack or tech pack car ?

don
Don,
Thanks for the information, I did see there was a recall on the oil cooler line and that it had not been repaired as of yet, I have a friend that works for my local Ford dealer and have reached out to her about getting the car in once they have the replacement part available.
So far it's been an absolutely amazing car and hasn't let me down in any way.
All I can say is that I'm loving this beast and wish I could just drive it all day.
Also I have the tech pack on mine.
It is an amazing car. My only disappointment is that it only lasts about 15 minutes at open track events. Hopefully, that issue will be solved soon. I suggest an oil separator for the passenger side valve cover. Maybe some Weather Tech mats since you're in CO. Be careful to the tires under 45 degrees as they are summer tires and become rock hard when cold. Enjoy the ride.
