I dont know what these original F code cars are worth either. I do know one sold for $140K. I've seen one R sell for at least 150K, but there were only 37 made.
Unlike say the Hellcat, I think the number of GT350s has held steady at about 5,000 units for 2016 and 2017. They supposedly are not making that many for 2018. Although the real difference between the R and the Tech or Track package, is not much in my opinion...they are more desirable because of the limited total number made.
Bottom line in a few years, we should have an idea of what the collectability of the first 137 2015 ..F code cars will be...who knows 20 years from now? But I was happy to get a real 50th Anniversary, and willing to pay 100K for it. Congrats on yours !
One sold at Mecum for 112K, app. including auction fee, I dropped out of the bidding at 100K...and at the time in 2015, 100K was what most people were paying at a minimum for a non R, and about 150K for an R, with some variance. That is my impression anyway. I am not really in the market to sell my F0083, unless someone REALLY wants it, and they all are worth only what one person will pay to have one. In the meantime, I will drive my red 2017 or blue 2017, because they are too much fun to put away. They were made to be driven as were the original 1965 models.
I have a 17 Vette Z06, 2018Mercedes GTR, and a 2016 911 GTS Porsche among others. I will take the GT350 out any day and get a bigger smile on my face, not sure why...but a great car...collectible or not. Very affordable, even if greedy dealers get an extra 5K in most cases.
Best bang for the buck, period. My opinion. Great thread, just found it.
