Hood misalignment

I had a brand new 2017 delivered to me on February 9th from a dealership 150 miles away. Since the vehicle was new with only 11 miles I felt good about making a purchase without seeing it first. Two days ago I dropped the car off to have a clear bra installed and the tech pointed out that the hood is misaligned. Standing in front of the car the left side front is almost touching the fender leaving a gap on the right side and doing the opposite near the windshield. I'm not sure how I missed it but my wife noticed it too but thought it was normal. Has anyone else had or heard of this issue? Would this be covered by the warranty? Other than the hood the vehicle is perfect. Thanks!

MY hood is misaligned at the front .... where it meets the front bumper and head lamp ..... the left side is good but the right side of the car or left side if your facing the car is definitly off. I opted not to mess with it fearing to make things worse. Sounds like your situation is in a different area of the hood though.

I have the identical issue with the hood on my 2016. I decided to leave it alone too, as much as it drives me crazy. Thanks for the Job 1 Ford. "Not! "
I had the same problem. While the car was still in the showroom they had a body man come in and loosen the front fender bolt and move the fender over about 3/32". All is good now. Picked up in Dec and now has about 1400 miles. I had all season tires installed. Too cold in NJ for stock tires.
Nice glad to hear all is well and they actually brought in an experienced body man for the realignment. I'd be afraid they'd take it out back and have a lot boy do it:)

Now that I have received my GT350, I have to say my hood is also misaligned. The passenger fender is 1/4" higher than the hood. I'll be having that fixed as well as the rear bumper fascia "droop" by a body shop under warranty through my dealer...

Curious if you were able to get this corrected. Mine has the same problem. Thanks
Mine is also off. Body fitment has always been an issue with these cars. I agree with Smokum. I wouldn’t mess with it. Knowing ford you’ll get your car back with more problems. The majority of us who own these cars look past these things because we all know how special these cars are and how difficult it is to get them.

Apologies Milner for the tardy reply. I haven't yet taken it in for the alignment stuff. Learning to live with it buy may get it in one day. I'll post when I do, thx!

Another thing holding me back is that many times the "cure" is worse than the cause...so may just live with it :)
