Hi all wanted to introduce myself. My name is Eric and I'm a long time mustang lover. Have owned 11 of them including two Shelby gt500's and 2 terminator cobras, amongst a bunch of GT'S . In the last 5 or so years I got away from the mustang and been experimenting with car like the camaro SS, the 1/LE , and a couple of ZL1's. Then I proceeded to make the change once again to Mopar. Starting with a 2016 scat pack, then to a 2015 Challenger hellcat and now my 2016 hellcat charger.

Recently I have had the chance to finally drive a 2018 gt350 and I immediately fell in love. Never did I think I would be able to experience such bliss from a mustang. Ford nailed it out of the park with this unicorn. My God the way it shifts, sounds and handles. Blows my mind. And that redline, oh my God forget about it. It's true love.
Now with that said I do love my hellcat, probably more then any other car I have owned but I'm a driver and I wanna drive again and that gt350 is 150% a drivers car (NEED IT!!)

I'll be getting one next spring. Either a new 2019 or a left over 2018 . I'll probably end up with the 2018 though because I'll be able to save a few thousand plus dollars and I love the lead foot grey that is not carrying on to the new 2019. Plus I'm pretty sure there will be excellent deals to be had with the up and coming release of the new gt500.

Well guys hello to all and I look forward to joining the family and it's going to be an annoying long wait for 8 or so months.
Also I look forward to learning all about this car from you experts!!!

Pictures of my current ride.

Nice cat Eric and welcome to the forum. Have a plum crazy cat parked next to my ruby red GT350 myself. Both fun cars but I think you nailed it when you said the GT350 is a drivers car. Look forward to seeing pics of when you adopt a 350.

Awesome man! Straight awesome!! I can see you and I would get along just fine.
Sweet looking cars though man. Makes me want my gt350 even more now.... Dam.......
If only I cave my wife in now to let me get it sooner. However she makes a good point with the shit whether being just a few months away and if I wait there will be even better deals to have. Which I don't really want to listen to but I know is right.
Glad to have ya.

Hellcat must be fun to drive. Would be fun to see both the Hellcat and GT350 on track together. Curious to hear your reviews of both cars since they are built with such different goals in mind

It's a blast to drive , handling isn't all that bad either for a 4500 pound pig. However the gt350 will destroy it on the road course but the quarter track it doesn't have a shot. Lol
As I get older (42) I really could care less about retarded horsepower numbers anymore. Plus there's nothing to shabby about 526 hp in a 6-7 hundred pound lighter car anyways. I just want to drive again , shift and be involved with the car. I can't think of a better car to do that in then the gt350. I just need to shift again. Everyone is so obsessed with the new automatics in the hellcat and new mustang and so concerned on there quarter mile time that they forget how non involved the automatics are. Simply there boring, don't care how fast they are.

Gt350 is where it's at for me. CAN NOT WAIT!!!
Thanks for the welcoming!

Perfect summary Hellfire, nice cat by the way!! I had a Camaro Zl11Le owner taunting me the other day and while he has more hp,the "balance" and driving characteristics of the GT350 are second to none. It's an AWESOME driver's car! SSeven of us just got together today and did some canyon carving and this car sticks like glue...it's a treat to drive and will make a mediocre driver look good!! I have respect for all hot cars and welcome to the forum!!

Just had to add this to your comments Hellfire...there is absolutely nothing like a nice cool, clear Sat. morning drive with your fav "driver's car" snicking through the gears...heaven :) And that Flat Plane Crank symphony is just magical. Get your smile tuned up, you're gonna need it :)

Thanks for the reply man. I had a 2013 Zl1 with 662 rear wheel, it was a fun car but now looking back between the many newer year cars I've had since then, that thing feels ancient. Sure the new one is no joke, but honestly to me the new Z is just okay looking. It doesn't look half as good as the 350 in my opinion. Then again I've always been a mustang guy at heart so I'm a little bias.
I'm super pumped to get my 350 and I look daily at some really great deals on 2018's right now, however I am trying to hold out for the 2019. Key word trying, lol lol ....
I literally can't wait to have my ear to ear grin daily when banging through this awesome car with that insane orgasmic exhaust note.
Thanks dude!!!

Nice rides man.
How you liking that lighting blue man?
I'm actually looking at a 2018 for 6k under sticker (Labor day sale ) in that color. To be honest it's like my third choice but I can't be to picky at that price. Wanted lead foot grey or grey metallic however blue is my favorite color.

I still may say screw it to and just suck it up and wait for the 2019. Then again lead foot grey is not carrying over to 19.
Hmmm
I've got Leadfoot gray, and its weird how many people walk up to me and love the color.....even ladies in their 70's do it. I got it because my last 5 cars were black and I was soooooo tired of keeping them clean. It had the convenience package too. It shows no dirt at all, except for the wheels. I keep it clean, but after a few days or backroad fun, black always got that dusty pollen look. With LFG, nope....looks clean.
Welcome to the forum. I too am a newbie. I ordered both a Demon and a Hellcat back in July of 2017. The Demon was delivered in March of 2018 and believe it or not the M6 Hellcat wide body was delivered in August 13 months after placing the order with damage. The car was dinged on a body line and the paint was split with touch up paint. The dealer told me if I refused the car that that they where going to send the car back since the damage was documented prior to the car coming off the car carrier. I had both the dealer and my personnel body shop tell me that the door and rear quarter would need to be painted to repair the damage. I must say I was a bit pissed that I waited 13 months to have a car delivered and there was no way I was excepting a car that needed painting. I always had my eye on the GT 350 so after a few weeks I found a Lightening Blue with leather and took the dive. I couldn't be happier with both cars and believe I have the best of both worlds. I just picked up the Shelby a week or two ago and have a bunch of goodies I need to install as well as having Xpel installed.

Congrats on your new ride and she will teach you a lesson or two lol. Be sure to take her down the back roads and the true respect of her will settle in. And do yourself a favor and drive her for a week or two and don’t drive your Hellcat (not sure if you kept her) ]. And when you get back in your Hellcat you will feel like your driving a tank. That was my experience and came to closure the HC is cool but damn she’s a tank lol. Once again nice choice of color and be sure to watch your oil levels since these radical 8450 RPM motors (race motors in essence) will drink oil when you run them hard. And I have gone Ford brand more than ever in my life and just picked up a freshly used Lincoln Continental Black Label Edition that came from Michigan’s top Executive fleet series. And like you got a damn nice deal and parted with one of my last Ram trucks. Now it’s all Ford Trucks and Ford fun.

Thanks man. Thats one beautiful Lincoln. Good luck with her.
Loving my color choice and this car. Super super happy in my decision with this car on every level.
I've had a bunch of other stangs, couple cobras and Shelby's and this is by far the best mustang I have ever driven.
Congrats! That's the lowest price I've read here yet. Your patience was rewarded with an awesome deal. Good for you.
