All right guys, let's do this!! Let's pick a Saturday that works for everyone (that way you can still keep the spouse happy by being home Sunday). My April is pretty much booked so let's look out into May. I have Sat May 5th and the 19th open. Only caveat is if my Raptor arrives in mid to late May, I'll be flying out to pick up and drive back. But at the rate things are going, it's going to be late May at the earliest.

So let me know if either of those dates work and let's get it set up. I'll find a good spot to meet and we can drive the canyons, BS, have lunch at the Rock Inn, more BS then home. Should be heading back home by 1:00PM or so?

By the way if JT should come down for this we'll let him buy lunch for the privilege of driving with the fastest (Blue) GT350s! (Sorry Jack, I really do like your Avalanche...had you showed up one day later it might very well be parked in my garage ;))

Oh, by the way Rob, after following you most of the way home today, don't remove your stripes...the white with the Deep Impact Blue really is a great combo (which is saying something coming from a no stripe guy!!)

Cinco de Mayo may be difficult for some.

I took a long drive in my car today, because tomorrow my life gets real busy. Court for 2weeks, fly to Arizona on the 30th, drive back on the 10th and fly to Hawaii on the 18th for a few weeks. See you in June.... sorry.

FYI, Shelby Club open track at Thunder Hill (Willows, CA) is on 4-28/29... I’ll be there! (I’ll buy Lunch and Dinner!).

Wow, JT that's tempting, but I have a mud run that same day, so I'm going to be out of the loop. Lou/Jack/Rob, you guys might consider going?

OK, so it looks like the 5th of May is likely going to be the day. We still have plenty of time so I'll wait to hear back from anyone else interested....

Rob-wl, SoCalShelby77, anyone else?

I think those dates are good. May 5 works =)

I'll put it down on the calendar.

How's parking over there? I typically see bikes parked out front.
It wont be too bad, there's a lot across the street and around the corner, we'll make it happen!! Should be fun!!

Here's what I'm thinking...we meet up at 8:30AM at the drive through Starbucks in Castaic, then head (East) out Lake Hughes Road to Lake Elizabeth Rd, then over to Sand Canyon/Bouquet Canyon, etc. I'll print a map with the routes highlighted (and regroup spots)for each of us and open to suggestions as well. Pine Canyon Rd. going NW is pretty cool too, it hooks up with the Old Ridge Route Rd near the Sandburg Weather Station. I'll see what makes sense, looking forward to it guys!

OK, so it looks like we have a plan. Jack, Lou, Rob and I (others are welcome too) will be meeting on Sat., May 5th at 8:30AM. We'll meet in the Starbucks lot (31777 Castaic Rd, Castaic, CA 91384) and head out from there.

Looking forward to it guys. I'll get the route together shortly.

Gents, was checking out my topo map yesterday and here's my suggested route.

1st leg: Starbucks in Castaic, then heading NE up Lake Hughes Road (23 miles/45min.) to Elizabeth Lake Rd. Brief stop to regroup.

2nd leg: Head NW up Lake Elizabeth Rd. to Pine Canyon Rd. proceed WNW out Pine Canyon Rd. (18 miles/30 min.) to Sandberg (Old Ridge Route Rd entrance). Lou bring your camera for a great photo op :)

3rd Leg: Back out Pine Canyon Rd to Lake Elizabeth Rd. (19 miles/30 min.) to Harley's Rock Inn on Lake Elizabeth Rd. Should put us there for lunch right about 11:30. We can lunch then split up from there or head out Spunky Canyon Rd. to Bouquet Canyon Rd., etc.

Should be a nice drive but am open to any/all suggestions...

OK as the date gets closer we have Lou, Rob, (significant other?), Jack and "Danika Patrick" (wife who wants to drive the canyons too - AWESOME - hoping she has a twin sister :)) and myself. Will be a blast and anyone else want to join us...rob-wl, SoCalShelby77, etc?
