I've always been a huge fan of manual transmission sports car, until I was looking into buying a 911. The PDK tranny received such great reviews I went back and forth for months trying to decide what route to go. I ended up going with a 7speed because I just think they are more fun to drive.
Anyone wish Ford would have developed the GT350 with an automatic transmission option?
I thought about it for a minute...BUT to me this Mean Machine could only come in Manual stick.
My buddy's got a Mustang GT in automatic and loves it, but then again, it's his daily driver.
I agree, with this high revving motor, and it being a slow starter until 3500 RPM a manual is a must. Control is key here.... Yes the new PDK systems are most like faster but I don't care about an extra 2/10's of a second. I want control, and beside shifting is fun...as long as we are not sitting in traffic...
Well no, with the Tremec in the 350 and so easy to shift and rev match with just a blip of the throttle.
For more nostalgia i take out my 1965 T10 4 speed
There is something to be said for a rear mount 8 Speed Auto - I have the blown GT350R and an 18’ Aston Martin Vanquish - both fast but that 8 Speed Auto is Fast, Crisp, and solid - wish often my R had that transaxle set up
