Hey guys. I have had my 2017 GT350 for two month right now. I am running into two issues.

First is the front spoiler. I went some triple digit speed, and for some reason my front spoiler came off the car. I am not sure whether it is because of the downforce or becuase of the bump on the road. It broke all the mounting point on the underbody panel.

Second is the thermostat. I have taken my GT350 to trackday three times. And fitst time it went to the track, second day the check engine light came on. later on Ford dealer found out it was a malfunction thermostat. It kept opening all the time. Ford replaced it. But second time I went to the track. Then second day, the car won't warm up. Basicly the water temp and cyclinder head temp were awalys low. And I was in the mountain in Colorado. If I drove it a litttle bit hard, the water temp would rise up to nomal. But once I was criusing, the water temp would drop to very low. Kind of like 150 degree F. Normally it should be around 210. I talked with the local tuner for my Mitsubishi EVO, he said it was OK and actually better to run cooler. But I am still worried. And the winter is coming up in Colorado. So I dont want to drive in the cold. The cause of this problem could because I left the AC on during the track time, I forgot it was on. But I am not sure.

So does anyone have the same problem?????

For the thermostat I have no clue but for the splitter, are you sure you did not hit a curb/sidewalk? On my car I turned on a corner and hit a pothole. The front right splitter made contact with road and I had similar damage (on one side only). It would be worrysome if just the downforce from a spirited drive pulled it off!

It was on before I left my home. And on the highway after the high-speed pull, it made wired noise than I stopped, which was when I found out the spoiler was mostly gone. There were a number of bumps which the car did jump down and up. But I did not hear major hitting sound. And it should not hit the ground because it was still on the highway.

This is worrisome!! For a car designed for track use it's unacceptable. Les us know how it gets managed by Ford.
Ford dealer told me that they had contact Ford about the thermostat. It could be a computer issue. And there is no answer about the spoiler so far. I am wondering whehter others have had the same issue. APR has a carbon fiber front spoiler with two connecting rods for GT350. After fixing the front spoiler, I might consider get that kit.

I had the same issue with my 2016. It also let loose at triple digit MPH
I sent it back to the dealer on a wrecker. It was incorrectly installed. simple
Since the dealer corrected the issue and replaced ALL damaged parts
I have since been triple digit MPH NOW No Problems

I purchased my 2016 used. With 900 miles on it. In the trunk were spare front splitter end pieces new in package. When I went to dealer to inquire about any warranty claims on the vehicle it showed a claim for front splitter coming of at hiway speed. Fixed by ford under warranty.... could be a common issue. Good news is I have spare end pieces to replace the ones I keep rubbing....

The only thing common with the front splitter is the dealers are not installing them properly. Some are not snapped into the front clips properly, and some do not have all of the fasteners installed. There are 3 rows of screws that are supposed to be installed, the front row has screws at 45 degrees holding the splitter to the fascia. There is another row that is straight up that holds it to the frame. There is the 3rd row that fasten the splitter to the belly pan. If it is installed properly, down force at any speed will not cause the splitter to move. In my case the dealer left off the entire row of screws that fasten to the frame.

My splitter was also installed incorrectly. I have tracked it twice after is was fixed and no issues. These splitters will not come off if installed correctly. Mine was missing 4 bolts that attach it to the fascia. The dealer has a car sitting on the showroom with it's splitter installed incorrectly still.

Ford has a video on YouTube showing their technicians the proper way to install the front splitter. I guess a lot of them have been installed incorrectly. Usually they gap below the front facia to the top of the splitter. There are several harder to access fasteners to properly install the splitter. The R models are one piece versus the three piece on the standard gt350.
