GT350 Tech and Track pack differences???

Hi to all,

I've read more than my fair share of GT350 articles about the differences between each version. One of the main things I keep reading is that the Tech Pack car does not get strut brace, magnetic shocks and a few other items

I have to say that every single GT350 Tech Pack car I have seen in a showroom had a strut brace, magnetic shocks among other things. Is there a major difference between the magnetic shocks on the two cars? I'm curious to know what others have seen. In fact I haven't seen a single 2016 GT350 that didn't come with a strut brace.

It would be interesting to know what others have experienced. Thanks to all for their input.

Cheers

My tech car has Magnaride and a steel strut brace. It does not have a transmission or diff cooler. I added the track pack spoiler. I also do not have Recaros. I like my heated and cooled seats and bigger display on the radio. I also like the toggle switched for the LC TC and exhaust.
The tech pack has all the performance adds the track comes with except, trans/diff cooler, rear spoiler and recaros.

So getting the tech package with the 2017 GT350, do you get the tech stuff and the trans/diff cooler as well as the comfy heated and cool seats?

Tech has mag ride. Track front springs may be stiffer- some confusion as to whether people are actually referring to the R. engine oil coolers on both, but no diff or trans coolers on tech. Aluminum strut brace on R and steel on others.
Track package gets you the coolers, magnetic shocks, different spoiler and Recaro seats. Precludes you from getting navigation and some other conveniences. For 2017, however, there is no Track Package as the shocks and coolers are standard. I am pretty sure that the Recaro seats will become an option and they are worth it. I thought I wouldn't like not having electric seats with the Recaro's, but I now prefer that they aren't

Recaros stay standard.
I find that for autocross racing the adjustability of the Tech Pack seats is an advantage over the Recaros. I prefer raising the seat a couple inches when racing as compared to the position that I use for daily driving.
You can raise the Recaros too. There's a lever on the left side to raise or lower the entire seat. Forward/Back, Up/Down, and Recline are the 3 adjustments I can find.

It's amazing that there are like 7 or 8 answers with different information, so I'm going to add another.

- MagneRide comes on both packages, tech and track, it just doesn't come on the standard car in '15 or '16, but it is standard in '17.
- All GT350's have the strut tower brace, standard and tech have a steel brace, track and R have an aluminum brace, the track package is an aluminum brace and not steel.
- The Recaro seats are the standard seats in the GT350 and the heated and cooled leather trimmed seats are the only optional seats, the Recaro's are not optional, they are standard on all three years '15-'17.

So does the 2016 with the tech package come with the oil cooler?

Does anyone know where to purchase the trans and diff coolers and how much they cost??

thanks

Yes to the oil cooler. I posted part #s for trans and diff cooler kit under the first thread in the GT350 garage forum which is a sub forum in ft350.org. Price is second hand at this time and was said to be about $1200 US for both kits. PN M-7008-M8S and M-7095-M8S.
Hi Guys,

I understand that the 900A package includes the oil and transmission coolers ? Is that the track package indeed ?

All cars I am looking have the 900A package...

Thanks

The optional Track Package for the GT350 (900A) adds the MagneRide suspension, heavy-duty front springs, engine oil, transmission and differential coolers, selectable drive modes and lightweight metal tower-to-tower brace.
No that is not the track pack. 900A has a whole list of cosmetic and upgrade goodies but you don't have a transmission and differential cooler or taller spoiler. And steel verses aluminum strut brace. You have everything else that is on track package verses technology package. You do have an oil cooler. This is reference to the 2016
