Front Brake Rotor Damage

At 700 miles I noticed a scrape around the front right rotor; just like if you let your brakes wear out and went metal to metal. Knowing this is not the case I thought of my driving day. Well I did drive through a neighborhood with freshly paved streets and a lot of tiny pebbles from the re-pave. I did hear a slight noise but didn't care much about it. Later on that night while in the garage I saw the right rotor and knew something had damaged it. I concluded that a pebble had lodged itself between the caliper and rotor somehow. The re-pave pebbles are just speculative at this point. I will take it to ford tomorrow and see what they say. Has anyone else had this problem? (I have never had any problem like this before with any vehicle even off-road)

Martin Truex had a similar problem at Dover.

Well The Dealer informed me today they are performing a full brake job--turn both rotors and new pads.

Did they say what caused it?
They just said there was something definitely in the pad (I assume meaning from the factory). I personally think it was just a fluke road hazard and the dealer knows they can bill Ford for a full brake job. What sucks is I get 2 almost new front rotors with 1 turning on them already. At least I don't have that deep scratch anymore.
