I totally agree with Galaxy on this one. Syntheic oil doesn’t burn, this is why race engines use it (the term is “oil coking”). Problems arise in conventional oil engines at temps above the 275 mark. No problem with yours. BTW, if the car thinks it’s too hot, it will go into limp mode, you’ll know it.240, while seems warm, is no danger to modern synthetic oils or the engine. No need to shut it down at 240. I’d say more closer to 300 is a time to start getting it cooled off or shut it down. Obviously you have a ‘16 I assume? Are these temps normal for ‘your’ engine or have you seen a change lately?
