Hi Ladies and Gents,

Don't have the Track Package - I have the Tech Package so no extra cooling.

On hot summer day what I see is Cyl Head Temps of 205-220 which is normal based on past experience, and Coolant Water idiot gauge is vertical seems to be fine.

But Engine Oil is typically 205 to 220 if plenty of speed, but if an accident or slow driving speeds, Engine Oil (even with AC off) can run from 220 to 240. At 240 I will turn it off.

Have had 14 shelbys and Mustang GTs over the years, but I have never seen my engine oil running up to 240. The local Ford service guy says THIS IS NORMAL FOR THE FPC Engine.

The above is during a hot summer day. During the winter, the Engine Oil struggles to get to 160F.

What do you guys think?

Yes this is one of the early 16's with electronics package. Oil Temps were the same last summer, and jacket water, cyl head temps, and oil pressures run fine. I'll have the oil temp thermostat checked if there is one. Thanks to all for the comments.
