Drag setup

Been wanting to look into doing some weld racing wheels for my gt350. im not going to be circuit racing mine, so I wanted to a drag setup, I know it doesn't need it to hook up. I just like the looks. Wanted to know if anyone has done it to theirs yet. I would imagine with the 350's bigger rotors and calipers then the "GT" i would have to do some kind of brake swap to fit a 17" wheel in the front and rear. Are the lugs the same fitting on the GT and GT350, I had heard they had different fittings not sure if tru . If anyone has any pictures of one or knows anything about doing it please let me know.

Sounds like you bought the wrong car. Should have bought a GT and replaced the wheels and have had plenty left over to put into a power adder and lots of other stuff. Replacing the awesome stock brakes in order to fit some drag racing wheels? Man...

I agree with NakMan--the GT 500 would have been a better choice as it is easy to add power with the supercharger in place--cold air package, smaller supercharger pulley and a chip will do wonders. More set up for drag racing than the GT350 which is geared to the track. Even the GT would be a good choice once you added some power options

I've already had several 5.0's I didn't buy the car to circuit race it, I'm not into circuit race it, I never plan to. I do mostly drag racing street and strip. I could of bought a gt500 its not cause of power I bought the 350 cause I like it. But I'll just wait for someone to reply with a answer

Also following. Did you get this set up figured out? What mods needed to happen. I have a ‘17 that I’m wanting to do a drag set up as well.
Thanks,
