Hey guys, first Post here and was wondering if the dealer maintenance program is worth the cost up front. Does anyone have experience with these packages?
The link below is to my specific dealer.

Not interested. Not a factor. Don’t want ANYONE touching my car but me, much less the dealer.

Welcome to the site. By the way, great color.

No, I wouldn’t buy this unless it was universal at any Ford Dealer. This is what’s known as a retention tool which keeps you coming back to their store (many times) and try and sell you something else, hopefully another car. Your big cost will be Tires (not part of plan) and the 5w-50 oil Mark-up. You can purchase your own oil (much cheaper than Dealership rape prices) and supply them (prob save you $50 based on 10quart capacity).

Good luck. Enjoy your car!

By the way Nor Cal Guy, Nor Cal SCCA is having an event at Thunderhill (Willows, CA) on April 28-29. See yah?
My dealer wasn't capable of installing the splitter correctly (even after 2 trues). I can't imagine them trying to torque the oil filter much less anything else.

Thanks for the info guys, they’re investigating a rattle in the right front clip, doing my complementary first oil change as well as replacing my front splitter that they banged up on the 20th, wish me luck! As far as Willows, CA that’s a little far for me and I haven’t really looked in to any car clubs yet, but it’s now on my radar!

In one word, "Junk" deal. As Galaxy said, "Don't want anyone touching his car much less the dealer." That is so true. Unless you have a friend that works in the service department, I wouldn't suggest it. If you look at the maintenance manual, a lot of the scheduled service is oil change related. Most, and this is just my opinion, owners don't drive these cars daily so the need for the 30000, 45000, 60000...etc... is not going to occur and by that time your maintenance package has run out. Based on the manual, if you cover all the maintenance portion and do them yourself, or just pay for each desired service, the cost won't be as much as what they are charging. Often time, I get scared when I think these guys won't torque the oil filter to spec. I always keep a case of oil on hand as this voodoo engine does eat up oil.
Well a little update to my first ”Dealer Experience”
First after break in oil change at 1470 miles and they said that there was No Oil Consumption. Woo Hoo!
On the flip side, they sold my front splitter to somebody else out from under me, forgot to order a new one and couldn’t pinpoint the rattle (or didn’t even try) So had to leave my car with them for the another 2 days in order to get everything done... Impressed I am not...

Ditto, I stay out of dealerships and even live with minor "glitches" rather than taking it in for warranty work. Had such poor luck in the past that (IMO) most times the cure is worse than the cause!

I was at my dealer the morning after my car arrived and I wouldn't let them touch the car (other than the mandatory pre-delivery inspection & fluid checks). I did the original wash/detail and installed the splitter myself!

Well another update, got down on my knees and my splitter has the dreaded GAP! Back in on the 27th to get it installed correctly...again
