Love that wheel. Gonna pull the trigger. Can’t stand the faux suede.
Waiting for mine - bought via the group buy on another forum. I may call them next week to see when they expect to ship it. Mine has the red stripe which goes with my Ruby Red ride.I installed my new carbon fiber steering wheel yesterday. Install took about 45 minutes, pretty straight forward. The wheel is a little thicker, a little longer flat bottom and indentations on the back side of the carbon fiber for your fingers. I got it with a white stripe and stitching to match my car. I really like the looks and durability the carbon fiber adds. The alcantara will eventually wear out from use.
They make this with different color stripes and matching stitching. They should be available on their site soon after the first of the year.
I'm with you, was checking out a Boss 302 and his was looking pretty bad after just a couple of years...pull the trigger yet Sir?Love than wheel. Gonna pull the trigger. Can’t stand the faux suede.![]()
Sweet, thanks for the update, excited (as if you couldn't tell)HotLap, got in touch with the group buy coordinator and he says to expect the style we ordered to ship late December to early January...
I received an email on 2/5 that said orders were held up due to quality issues with original producer (some Chinese company I suppose) and orders will start shipping on 2/12. Who knows? A lot of delays and excuses so far, no delays or excuses when asking for our money last year...Well, darn received an e-mail that 11 of us from the original DCTMS group buy are going to have to wait longer as due to QC they are no longer using the original supplier... They claim to have located another supplier but no estimate on how much longer the wait is going to be. Offerred to refund full purchase price, but I really want the wheel. Hoping the new supplier does as good a job as the original supplier (pics that were posted looked very good).
ShelbyQuest18, you get the same notice and what're you thinking?
It is easy to do, it'll take you about one hour. Use these links, very easy to do. Save your money for future mods.HotLap, my wife and I returned from a daytrip to Jacksonville Fla and a nice sunset cruise to find that FINALLY my steering wheel was delivered! It looks good, and will be a nice interior upgrade to the car. It came from Cali, so I assume you received yours a few days ago? Came with no install instructions, but I will probably have the local performance shop which did my dyno before and after testing do the install. Not sure I want to mess with the airbag stuff.

Ditto Nav, I hope to be needing it soonTHANKS for the information!
I like the stock wheel too but the alcantara does not hold up, it will eventually start flaking off.I dunno, I like the stock wheel.
my thoughts too, I'm already noticing the driver's seat is looking a worn...nothing drastic (yet)I like the stock wheel too but the alcantara does not hold up, it will eventually start flaking off.
I got the CF/leather combination with red stitching and red center locater stripe. Since my car is Ruby Red, the center locator stripe is red, shifter knob trim is red, I preferred to do red instead of the gray stitching. The wheel definitely is a quality and appearance upgrade over the faux suede wheel and provides at least a partial quality upgrade to the interior. You and I were numbers 29 and 30 on the list, the wheel shipped to me (on the opposite side of the country) from Cali nearly a week ago, so I am surprised that you have not received yours yet. If I were you, I would be putting Terrence's number on my speed dial list and raising a little hell with him.Nice great news (for you), still no wheel here
Beginning to think conspiracy here between the wheel and my customized CA plate I ordered over 4 months ago...still no word on either... (Although Terrance has done a good job communicating status with the wheel). Sure hope to see it (and the plate) soon. Which color combo did you get Sir! Mine is the CF/leather combo with the grey stitching (to match interior stitching) with the red center locater stripe...
Nice, color combo, I was torn between the red stitching but decided to go with the blue shift knob (rather than the red) so I stayed with the grey with red center stripe!
