[Aquasition]

Hi folks
Had to pull over today due to CEL
Car started to loose power and came to a stop
Put it in N and rolled to a safe place
Had good oil preasure and running fine till this hapenned
Now the details
Its a Dec 2020 GT350 model year 2021
Car has 1,530 miles ! Yes you read it right 1530 miles
The problem is Warranty expired last month !
Called AAA and dropped it at a Dealer
$215 to diagnose the issue but they are 2 weeks out
Car showed zero leaks of any kind upon inspection both inside the engine compartment and on the tarmac underneath it
No smoke no other ligths just the CEL and came to a halt
Should I call Ford Performance and relate this to them ?
Should I just wait for the diagnostic of what failed?
Any suggestions would be very appreciated

Keep in mind, your base 3/36 warranty might've expired, but you still have the 5/60 power train warranty. So if it's anything major with the engine, you'll still have coverage.

I have a 2020 built in Oct/20 so you still have another year or 11 months of the bumper to bumper warranty. I believe they stopped producing them the end of October/2020 and there is no 2021 model. Oh, get that refund. You shouldn’t spend a dime on diagnostics since it’s still under warranty.

I havent paid anything yet
Hope this dealer will play fair and square
If the problem is covered by Ford Warranty they will be informed by Ford as they submit it

Took it straight to Dealer
Technician assigned but he hasnt touched car yet

I agree that your warranty has not expired, as it starts when the vehicle is first sold, not build date. If you activate your online fordpass account it will show warranty dates based on your vin number

Update
The only thing the tech was able to tell at the moment is
"The engine is locked up"

Good morning, I was able to have a technician look at your vehicle and he has determined that the engine is locked up. I am waiting for a heavy line technician to become available to look at it. ~ Patti Guebara

That’s a warranty issue. Keep us posted what happens next. Unless they find the engine had no or low oil, this is on them.
