Assigning Radio Station Presets

I don't know why it should be so ****ing hard that I have to post in an internet forum to figure this out. I even looked in the owner's manual.

Okay, so there I was....enjoying the **** out of my GT350 and listening to a radio station and as you've all experienced, a commercial comes on, so I wanna change the channel. I'd love to be able to simply quickly jump to my pre-selected stations, but alas, some of them aren't saved and there's junk/undesirable stations saved in between, etc.

So, what do I do? I press the "autostore" button (which prompts me to hold in order to save).

From this moment forward, is where it gets really stupid.

1) Regardless of whether I'm in FM1 or FM2, once I store a station, it jumps to FM2 and one of the presets there.
2) It takes like a good 5 or 6 seconds of the system to "think" in order to save the station. Is something wrong? We're not talking about calculations to split the atom here, we're talking about saving a 3 digit number/setting on the radio. Why it takes that long is troubling.
3) After all that, it jumps me to FM2 and puts me on a DIFFERENT station than the one I was on (and trying to save) and after all that.....

IT STILL DOESN'T SAVE THE ****ing STATION I WAS TRYING TO SAVE.

Please someone, what am I missing? I'd like to think I'm an intelligent guy and I'm not averse to technology. I've never had an issue saving radio stations in ANY OTHER CAR I'VE EVER OWNED.

If you hold any preset button for 5-10 seconds it should record the station your on. If not? Radio Broke...

I read this and honestly couldn't recall if I had even saved any stations in my R. I in immediately went out to the garage to check. Sure enough, I hadn't. I was able to set them by tuning to a station and then pressing, and holding, the preset button that corresponded with the order I wanted the station. The radio beeped and the station was saved and the message "preset saved" appeared at the top left of the screen.

Have you tried tuning to the station, NOT pushing autostore, and then just pressing and holding the preset button you wish to assign the station to?

I hope you resolve your issue (and thank you for reminding me that I have a radio in this car).
I'm having the same issue. I've programmed radios in other cars for years. Never had this issue.
Even my '14 Stang Gt wasn't this problematic....
What is the trick to this?

LOL... I wondered the same. :p

Though I will admit to plugging in the iPod and tucking it in the center console, I seldom have it on.
