discussed the issue with service at the dealership where I purchased the vehicle--dealers are still in advanced notice, no fix in the works yet and updates are due in the first quarter. In other words, nothing yet, no fix and no time line for getting things fixed. Somewhat disappointing

Yes, but if your car is not down, meaning you can not drive it, don't get in a hurry to get the part. I applied thru the SSSC site and the first question they asked was if my car was drivable. So I'm guessing probably 2 to 3 more weeks before we start seeing any parts in a large quantity available to dealerships.

Read the Dealer Info on the recall, it says Mid-March before the parts are available, if your car is leaking oil, go by your dealership and they will be able to get a cooler. I think I read the job pays 1.9 hours, which at the dealership I work at, that means an all day job, so get ready to leave it overnight more than likely.

Today my service department said cars that have lines that are leaking get there's first (they have to send Ford pictures of leaking line) and then we can get ours, so will be awhile yet.

Parts are available on a case by case basis. My rack and pinion failed... apparently. That has yet to be determined if it will fix the annoying clicking noise while turning. However I got a call today while my car is in the shop on the lift they will take care of the recall issue.

I spoke with one of the local Ford dealerships here in Germany, I was happy to find they had a US deparment lol.
I have a appointment setup for Later this month for them to do the recall. I haven't really driven the car much, so I was worried about that. Thanks guys for the good information. Maybe I can drive it around time a little before then.
