I have an appointment for my 2017 on Sept 14 for the install. I called their office and she said I was the first in line for an install on the GT350. ( one of the guys at SVT performance has it on a car they own ) They install FOR FREE when you by it from their shop and George, the owner; installs only on Wednesday. I was stunned to say the least. So, I was just curious if anyone else is going to do the same.

I had one in my 2012 Boss 302. I installed myself as I am quite happy to do the work. I haven't had any issues with the stock shifter on my GT350, so not ready to spend the money for it. Good luck.

I went to the MGW site and didn't see a shifter listed for the GT350. How much did you pay for yours and what is the part number if there is one?

I called a week ago and was told they are not for sale yet. The woman took my email and said they would contact me when shifters were available.

Those are great shifters. I have used them in several different performance cars over the years and would highly recommend.

Never used the MGW shifter what are the benefits over the stock Shelby shifter?

Solid more robust construction, super positive feel, shorter throw.
Got a call last week and purchased the shifter with adaptor nut for stock knob for $495. Will start shipping in 10-14 days from then.

Installed this week. Paid Pro-Dyno $160 to put it in. Super service!

You don't comprehend how sloppy the factory shifter is until you put this baby in.

Took about a day to get used to it. The side tension springs are a lot stronger than the factory's.

The 2nd-3rd shift is SO GOOD YOU WILL GIGGLE!

I've had 3 MGW shifters in various cars in the past and will get one for the GT350. I know for the GT500 they came out a few months after initial launch with a Rev 2 that incorporated improvements. Pics of the GT500 vs. stock shifter.

I see that the MGW GT350 shifter has been out for over 6 months months with no comments about any revisions. I'll order one shortly for the 350. They truly are aerospace grade precision. I like MGW's reverse lock out feature better than the current lift ring action.

On a related theme, I just got another Lathewerks shift knob for the GT350

Hybrid Piston type. These are on par with the craftsmanship of the MGW shifters. The owner, Chris, is a one man shop in NJ that is a perfectionist.
I have one in my RS and it really feels so much better than the stock knob as I'm not totally liking the GT350 knob, too small.

After a few days I started having trouble getting into 1st gear. Talked to installing shop owner today; he said bring it in Tuesday and they'll take a look at it. I assume it will just need a simple adjustment of the linkage.

Tech readjusted it, put some Loctite on nuts, no problem sinse.

The shifters are on point. Had one in my ZO6. There's a YouTube video explaining the benefits vs stock. I personally don't want to mess with the car at all and I'm happy with the stick shifter.

I installed one with less than 500 mils on the car and could not be happier with it. The shifting is very precise like a bolt action on a rifle. Worth every penny for the shifter.
