First post on GT350.org! Glad to join you guys.
Just took possession last week of a magnetic grey with black stripes 2017 GT350. I was going to dealer to gather info on a spring 2017 order but they had a 2017 in the showroom that just begged me to get her home! So I signed the paperwork and 24h later I had a new beast in the driveway.
I transfered a lease on a 2014 E63 wagon to get into this car and I'm not dissapointed at all. Completely different machines but amazing in their own ways. E63 was tuned with Renntech mufflers and was making 690+ HP. A joy to gun on the highway but a heavy pig in the corners!
The 350 is a lot less refined driving experience... and I love it! I feel like I'm really driving the car and not the opposite.
Took the car last friday to Mont-Tremblant for a Viper Club track day. A lot of Mustangs were there, and a 350R was also there. Jealous!! I took it easy (max 5000 rpm/no full throttle acceleration). I used the track to bed in the brakes and get used to the car's character. I did an oil change at 800 km just to be on the safe side.
Anyways here are a couple of pics of the track day. I want to go easy on the mods as I find the car is perfectly balanced the way it is, but I'm sure I wont resist some slight alterations after spending some time on the forum!
