It's been a bit over a month and 1300 miles that I've owned my 2017 Magnetic/black stripes GT350. I went to one track day at Mont Tremblant and was quite impressed by the car, even if I did not push hard (max 5000 rpm) since break-in period was not over, I was impressed with handling and that amazing exhaust note. Since then I got used to the light clutch (compared to other cars I've owned) and overall really happy about the new toy. Performs great as a daily driver and as an alarm clock for the whole neigborhood.

Here is the list of the mods done so far. Nothing big, no power upgrade as I found the car well balanced the way it is stock.

1- redline tuning hood struts: easy install and gets rid of the stupid prop rod... come on ford! should be stock!

2- JLT oil separators (driver and passenger side): also easy install. was ot sure about necessity but read a bit and decided to go for it. after 600 miles (regular driving, no track day) I emptied about 15 ml from the passenger side. Driver side was bone dry.

3- Steeda Jacking rails: makes lifting the car a no brainer!

4- Steeda IRS subframe brace and links... just for the fun of it... never experienced bad wheel hop but I figured "why not!"

5- Raxiom front sequential led turn signals: gives the front end a more modern look. PITA to install... happy with result!

6- Raxiom third brake light flasher: medium install

7- Raxiom led reverse light/running light: easy install

8- Raxiom led interior package: easy install

9- GT350 rocker stripes: should have come with these stock! Messed up a bit on the front fender... maybe will order another set to make it perfect. fortunately black on magnetic grey is not that apparent!

10- smoked LED rear side marker

11- SRP racing aluminium pedals (will arrive this week): to make heel-toe easier... stock pedals are not perfect for that IMO.

That's about it! A couple of other things are interesting at Am Muscle... need to calm down now!! Still 6 weeks of driving before I store the beast for winter!

I got the "grid" pattern in anodized black. I took the extra wide pedal. Let me try them out and you can decide about width. I was hesitant between medium and wide but figured it could not be too wide...

I'll try to take some pics soon. I want to wash it before but time is lacking!!!

Here is a pic à the track day in the meantime. Also a pic with a R that was also there. I was a bit jealous!!

Here are a couple of pics of the car. Hard to take a picture showing the black GT350 decals. I might change them to white (will match the white stripes highlighting the black racing stripes) but I like the subtle look of the black ones. Also installed the pedals. Not as easy as I was expecting but happy with result.

You may want to check with Watson Engineering for a bolt in 4 point roll bar. Since you have 4 point harnesses installed, the roll bar will offer extra protection in a roll over. I wouldn't want to roll the car stuck in an upright position with out a roll bar--I won't function well as a roll bar. Just a thought and thinking of your safety. I also track my cars

Nice job on the pedals and rocker stripes--looks good

Thanks for your comments! I'm actually on the fence between the Watson and the CorteX cage. The CorteX seems to make using the back seat easier. I agree about safety with 4 point belts. I actually took the picture just to show fitment if someone is interested in getting them but I never tracked the car yet with the 4-point. Not as good as a 5-point system but a lot better than OEM belt for keeping you in place and super easy to remove when not in use! I'm storing the car in a month for winter. I will order the cage this winter and install for next track season!

I have the Watson Engineering roll bar in my 2009 GT500 and three months later did some agricultural racing with it due to a mechanical failure--I was glad I had a five point harness and the roll bar in the car--I didn't roll it but could have. At the GT350 track attack, they have 4 point harnesses and a roll bar for all those safety reasons. I eliminated my back seat (and will do the same with the GT350 if I put a bar in it) and am having a friend make some aluminum sheet panels to cover between the trunk and passenger compartment. If you get the Cortex bar, let me know how you like it and how it goes in. Sorry you will have to store your car for the winter

Did they use a Watson roll bar? Did the 4 point harness they were using attached to the roll bar or to the seatbelt anchors on the back seat? I would like to get a setup with a roll bar and a 4 point harness attached to the bar.

You might also want to check with Cool Tech(for a roll bar)--their products are very good and their customer service is very good. Saw one in a Boss 302 today and very well made. Set up so you don't have to mess with the seat delete panels if you have them installed in your car

Kart, nice looking ride and like your mods. On the pedals, the wide gas pedal does look like it would enhance heel/toe downshifts...please let us know once you have experience with them. Also, the black rocker strip looks great...I'm not really a stripes/sticker guy as the white over the top are coming off as soon as I get the new Shelby home, but since I'll have Lightning Blue with black roof and other black bits/wheels, I think these rocker stripes could look good. Thanks for posting, my pods pile is steadily growing in the garage!
