Thats not the end to it. Can't pull it straight out and will get different angle reading on it depending on if put it back in facing the engine or fender.

It is a PITA! I have found that reaching behind the strut bar for removal and insertion is easier and you can line up the tip of the dip stick toward the hole more precisely. This response has no sexual connotations, either!

...and I thought mine was the only one. Is there an adjustment to keep it from contacting the edge of the hood?

As long as I have been with this car and how much I have studied it and after market parts, the short answer is no. Be careful not to injure your paint!

If that wide strut support wasn't there, it would ne easy peesy. I think that size and configuration was an "ah shit" moment for the design engineers of the GT350. If they changed the size and configuration of that support, such as the 2007 GT500, it would be much easier to reach.

I was wondering if I was the only one that felt this way! It'd be nice to get a consistent reading... good thing oil isn't a very important fluid.

Well thank you for the insight about the wind shield wiper. I bought a 2016 GT350 from a collector with less than 700 miles. Have the same experience with the idiot dip stick and wiper arm. The local ford dealer told me they could fix it but since my car was out of warranty (even with the very few miles) their body shop would resolve the problem for about $1500 to realign the hood. I told the dealer to "honk when he go to the elbow". I was so pissed I decided not to by a new pick up for my business from Ford and ended up with a new GMC Denali.
