Will there be a 2020 GT350?
Just my opinion No. Especially since they've waited so long to get the 19's out. I can't see them having two performance cars out at the same time. I'd say when the GT 500 comes out for sale thats it for the 350. But hell what do I know. Just a guess like any one else that posts will be.
I just came from my dealer today. I am awaiting my 2019 that is replacing the bum 2017 Ford finally bought back from me a few weeks ago. From what I have been able to gather from various sources the 2019 has a few changes. They are using the GT500 engine block (block only, still flat plane crank, etc.) block is to fix oil issues that the 2015-18's had. It no longer has an oil filter but an oil canister. The front air intake on the car is a bit smaller and the spoiler on the back is taller and split open. They claim they have gained speed with this change...I doubt it's huge. The Electronics package is now the Technology package. This has the heated/cooled seats with memory settings, options are Bang & Olufsen 12 speaker w/subwoofer audio upgrade, you may also choose a machined or carbon fiber dashboard surround. The wheels and tires are different. The console is now leather wrapped. Ford had briefly announced no GT production after 2018. That changed when the 2019 GT500 had issues and couldn't be released and changed to 2020 model. Supposedly the 2019 GT350 production run will be low as it was supposedly not planned. The rumor is that after 2019 the GT350 will go away. With Ford, who knows. It is near impossible to plan my custom work because no one has seen these cars. With the few changes made comes some questions that can't be answered until you can actually see the car in person. My dealer has to list my car as unsold in order to track it. They will do this next week and then I will know exactly when it will hit ground for me on the West Coast. Although this doesn't answer if they will continue to build 350's in the future, I hope some of the info. above is helpful.
They say "The third time's the charm"...waiting on replacement car #2 (will be my third try at an acceptable GT350 build). 2020 Shadow Black, technology package, handling package, exposed carbon fiber dash, custom blue calipers and custom painted center wheel caps.
Yes, there will be a 2020 GT350. Ford sent out dealer sign up forms today. No mention of GT350R.
Appears 350R will be available.
That is great news. I'm still loving my 2017 350 but I'd like to have a 350R with the chassis and aero upgrades coming on the 500. Due to two huge screws in my right ankle from a motorcycle accident, I can no longer heel and toe properly. I love the stick on the road, but the DCT would be much better on the track.
