    painted my brakes!

Painted my brakes! It's a small thing...but I spent 2 days off over 2 busy weekends doing it. Just used jack, jack stands, steel wool, brake cleaner, acetone, a toothbrush, hefty bags, painters tape, duplicolor 500F primer, duplicolor 500F red, high heat brembo decals off ebay, duplicolor engine gloss enamel 500F, and tire ink pen for tires. Comments appreciated.

Yeah mine is not an R, but I wanted the R caliper look.
I was looking at the oem R calipers but they are $1,200 for a set!! Then the pain of installing them and trying to sell my used calipers to make up the differen.....just no
$50 on steel wool, brake cleaner, high heat primer, paint, decals and clearcoat, and a couple days off..

They look great, especially on white..

I plan on doing mine but in powder coat, it holds up very well, I did this to my 2005 GT, it lasted over 8 years
I have been powder coating for 10 years and in some ways its eaiser than painting.

any part I could remove on that cat I powder coated, most of the steel under the car I media blasted and powder coated.
    I hated rusty parts.

I also did most engine parts, including the valve covers

Not putting miles on your Shelby GT350 is like not having sex with your girlfriend to make her more desirable for the next man.

man looks great! Before I saw the pics I thought you meant a Ford GT!
I wanted to go powder coat route, but it involved taking the calipers completely off and completely disassembling. I just don't have the expertise tools or time to do it. Thanks for the comment and again your powder coating and your ride look phenomenal!!

I know it was just a Mustang GT, but I really loved that car and wanted a GT350 since I was a child, thats why I built the 2005 as a tribute, but when ford
actually started making the GT350 again it was trying to get rid of the 2005. but it was so heavely modded no dealer would touch it.
it had every bolt on part on the market.
Long Tubes, Exhaust, Ported & polished heads, behive springs, detroit True track Locker, 4:10 gears, and the list goes on and on..

After looking into many other options even putting the car back to stock, I finally had to give it away at $7000 bucks.
It still ran well for 150,000 miles. and looked great, and with all the black powder coated steel under the car, no rust.

I will most likely do the same with this car, I will powder coat every part that will come off that will rust.

I did my first powder coating on the Lugnuts

Yea Sure, I work for beer

I could not find a center cap that fit right, and I wanted to preserve the original logo, so I picked up these on Ebay, they are metal stick ons that fit perfectly over the
    ford logo without damaging it.
