I put Ford Performance catch cans on mine (both sides) so it would look factory. It does. I usually remove 30cc of oil from the passenger side at oil changes. The drivers side appears wet but with no measurable oil. My car has over 8000 miles on it and 2 track weekends. I drive it like I stole it and I use no oil. I'm sorry for those that do. I broke mine in hard.

This might be a more of a problem than most realize. Not everyone is on a forum .... and some of these cars just arent being driven.
If everyone was monitering there oil I would guess the problem might be more prevalent

Hi, i had 8,800 miles on my gt350. I complained about oil consumption as my dip stick was dry after only 2000 miles on one oil change. They did an oil consumption test. Told me to bring it back after 1 quart was missing. 100 miles later 1 quart low. They scoped the cylinders and found that cylinder #2 is collecting oil and has bad scoring on the cylinder walls. Iam waiting to hear back if i get a new engine

if you research out side the scope of gt350.org you can count this as engine number 5. This is a pretty nice group to be part of https://m.facebook.com/groups/571018...?ref=bookmarks. I wounder how many people that this happen to and dont put it on an online forum

I would think this situation is hit or miss, depending on the particular engine block. The voodoo block is an aluminum casting, castings can have porosity and impurities. There has to be a threshold to the quality of the cylinder walls after machining that is acceptable for a good block, not every one can be perfect. So when you apply a plasma coating to the imperfect surface, there are conditions that will result in oil consumption that would not even be detectable in a compression or leak down test. There are a lot of us that report very little oil consumption. My car will show a drop of about 1/4 to 1/3 the distance between the dots on the dipstick over 5,000 - 6,000 miles. And some of that ends up in the catch can as the 2 ounces I remove every 3,000 miles. I have about 12,000 miles on the car and this pattern has been very repeatable.
