Anybody using the Ford Pass app?
Two days ago a recall notice appeared that involves the engine oil cooler tube assembly. It states that there might be a risk of sudden loss of engine oil that may result in engine failure. Personally I have not experience any problems (only 650 miles) but will definitely talk to my service dept. to see what this is about.

My 2016 used (burned through tailpipe; no leaks) one quart for each of the first 3,000 miles and has continued to get worse with the last quart burning out in 480 miles.* At this rate I would need to put in 14 quarts between regular oil changes.
    *
I have not tracked the car or driven it hard because I am worried Ford would then blame me.* I've had it since April and just surpassed 9,000 miles; its my DD.
    *
I've been working with Ford (to continue monitoring usage) but I'm curious about everyone's experience here.* How much oil do each of you use on a normal basis?* And what about track usage?

I have a little over 7,000 miles on mine. I have always been easy on the throttle, especially during the first 1,000 miles. I am still adding a little oil at a time...I haven't kept track of the amount and interval, but it is more than with other cars I've had. I checked with a number of auto supply stores and my Ford dealer is the only place I can find the correct oil. I advise buying a few quarts and keeping them on hand. I do find the dip stick a little difficult to read. Also, get a funnel to pour the oil thru as it is difficult to get the oil bottle into the valve cover without spilling some. And check your oil often!

If you are experiencing excessive oil consumption, that issue should be addressed by your dealer and Ford, it is not normal or acceptable.
I use my GT350 as a DD and it has been 4200 miles since my last oil change with one autocross weekend since the change. I checked the oil tonight for the 2nd time since I changed the oil. The passenger catch can had about 2 ounces in it and there has been no noticeable oil loss by the dipstick reading. I currently have about 11,000 miles on the car.

Lots of people have no issues ..... some arent so lucky. I dont know where I stand but when I check my 17 GT350 for a second time in a few more weeks I will know better.

I had the oil change at 3000 miles when I started reading about the oil consumption issue with some of our cars. I was a quart down.

My Ford dealership that I work for started a oil consumption test and had it checked again at 4000 miles and I was a 1/2 quart low.

I will check it once more when the car hits 5000 miles I have a better handle where I am at

Changed my oil at around 5000 miles. I should've kept track of how much oil came out. At 88xx miles, my dipstick was completely dry and took about 6 quarts of oil to fill back up. Not happy at all.
