WTB: '16 CO or "17 GB GT350
Hi all, new to the Forum and looking to purchase my first late model GT350. I am interested in the '16 Competition Orange Track Pack and the '17 Grabber Blue, either strip delete or white strip. Please let me know via post or PM if you have one for sale, are thinking about a potential sale or know of one available! Thanks so much. PJ
Bump. Just checking to see if any ‘16 Comp Orange track pack available. Will gladly pay finders fee.
Comp Orange is the rarest color for the GT350, you will need to look a bit harder. Only 245 made between '15 and '16's.
I had to dig into my paper work to jog my brain. Feb 16 when I bought mine I had these numbers.
2015 3 cars were CO, 2 were track pack. No other info yet.
2016 100 cars were CO, 37 were track pack, 51 were tech, 12 were base.
I had a note there were 49 cars with no strips and 88 cars had roof paint.
I know there was one at Alletta Ford in Wellsbury, WV as I talked to them about it. I think there was one more in Florida
and maybe two more so counting mine there might be 5 OC, no strips, no roof paint out there, that's my guess. In three years I have not
seen another one. 4 track events 12,000 miles, second set of front tires original rears and no oil burning. I am one lucky dude and thank my
lucky stars everyday. My birthday is 22/46 and my chassis # is 2346
I know brother Dave, that is why I am here on this site with all of the other GT350 enthusiasts and am seeking out a Comp Orange GT350! I am trying! On other sites as well, not sure how I look a bit harder! Thanks.

I have seen a few different 2016 Final Production reports on different forums. One has 175 CY and another 245 CY.
Assuming 245 CY is correct this is the breakdown reported.
Base pack 8
Tech pack 151
Track Pack 86
w/ stripes 199
Blk stripes 163
Wht stripes 36
No stripes 46
Blk roof 88
I have a CY track pack with white stripes that I purchased new out of Illinois. One of 245 CY, one of 86 TP, one of 36 white stripes. There was a new CY track pack at a dealer north of Houston w/o stripes, w/o painted roof.

Looking to purchase a '16 Competition Orange Shelby GT350. Not sure if the prior post lruffino is a CO for sale (assuming that CY was simply typed in wrong) or is a post just providing more information about the 2016 Shelby Production Numbers. Thanks.
Marathon06 it's probably worth the time/patience to keep looking for a Competition Orange (CY) GT350 Track Package, another orange - Twister Orange Tri-coat is available on the 2020 GT350 but is lighter/brighter than the 2016 CO you seek.
You wonder how much longer the GT350 production line will be extended? Back in 2017, many expected 2018 would be the last GT350 year... of course that was incorrect. Guess it's a mixed resale/collector blessing, the GT350 is a unique vehicle, producing a few thousand more each year dilutes the limited nature of the vehicle, but also keeps the interest there. The GT500 is a related, but different beast for sure.
Back to COLOR --- FYI/consideration, this 2016 article mentions a 2013 auto color/resale value study What colors give your car the best resale value "...a study done by automotive website https://iSeeCars.com shows that orange and yellow cars hold their value the best. Orange vehicles from 2013 saw an average depreciation of 21.6 percent, while yellow cars declined 22 percent. By comparison, the average 2013 car saw a depreciation of nearly 30 percent.
Why should orange and yellow cars be worth more than the most popular colors, like black, white, silver and gray? It is a question of supply and demand, said Phong Ly, CEO of iSeeCars.com., which surveyed 1.6 million sales of 2013 cars over the year ending June 30.
"The more unusual colors such as orange and yellow are not as readily available, yet they are popular with enough buyers to create a demand that directly affects their resale value," he said.
Orange and yellow also tend to be favorite colors for what might loosely be called modern muscle cars, such as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger, as well as high-performance sports cars like the Chevrolet Corvette and Dodge Viper.
In addition, orange sports and muscle cars in the survey averaged about 25 percent lower mileage on the odometer than the average 2013 car. Ly suggests that's because most owners do not use these cars for their daily commute.
Orange cars have been a lot more visible on streets and highways in recent years, but the color has a long history. The original 1964 ½ Ford Mustang came in a color called Poppy Red that, despite its name, was clearly orange. With its 1970 models, Ford owned up to the true color with a shade called Grabber Orange.
More recently, the Dodge Challenger offered an orange hue through the 1990s, and the car is still available in that color. Ford Mustang has continued to offer orange options, calling the color Competition Orange on current models. Chevrolet Camaro had Inferno Orange from the 2010 to 2013 models, then Red Rock Metallic (really orange) for 2014 and 2015. Current Camaros do not [currently] offer an orange choice."
