    Coil covers.

Picked up a set for cheap, doing some custom shit. Got a rattle can mixed and some stainless mesh. I need a better solution for the trim.

I think it gives a little more life to the engine bay.

Looks great man! Nice custom work. Have you maybe considered some DIY hydro dipping on them to break up the white/black/silver transitions a little?

I also went back to the drawing board. The mesh is under the cover now, not sitting on top.

Gotcha. I wasn't sure if that was actually gray or if it was just the lighting/camera. That little change with the mesh does help clean it up a bit.

Please excuse my ignorance, are those replacement covers with mesh or part of stock existing under the stock covers? I can only assume the mesh is for cooling, if so, then what’s the risk of mesh covers? I assume dirt getting in?

Most people just swap the coil covers for looks. It’s purely an appearance item. But it’s a very cheap, very simple, extremely effective way to dress up the engine. The screens on that are just for looks. No cooling/performance gains to be had.

These are in place of the stock one...just modified stock ones. Of course there’s no power gains or any benefits from them. And as far as “dirt” getting in? Maybe dust?

    Round 2.

Mesh and I weren’t seeing eye to eye. Went with some carbon fibre and found some badges on Amazon.
