I thought it might be because of what you flew in your former profession. ROFL

I have a Chemical Guys foam cannon that I really like, which I use with their Fat Foam (also goes in my soap bucket). I blast foam all over the car and the wheels, then go in and prep my two buckets while it soaks, then wash and dry.
I want it for the foam cannon mainly and because I have no real water pressure at my home. I’ll use a flow control regulator with it. I’m basically in the same camp as you; they can do serious harm especially to weather striping.

Yeah well maybe that too. I'm so happy with the way this car runs. I had a black GT3 and it was always dirty on the road and certainly on the track. I like this one better. Proud that Ford has produced a car this good a this price point.

But you are right, those combat aircraft were not clean but they were still very effective.

It's a great car and if some brake dust and burning a little oil are the only problems we have I will be very pleased.

The only Real way to clean your wheels is to remove them and clean 100% of the wheel. And the line about pressure washing getting water into the bearings is lafable. Really? A good Ceramic Coating (at least a couple layers) will add in any cleaning process you decide on. FYI, Brake Dust is a trademark of the Brembo Brake Corp.

Lafable [sic]? Yes, really--I've seen that caution oft-repeated literally for decades.

    They're you're wheel bearings--knock yourself out.

A lot of guys on the Corvette forum like Carbotech pads. A lot less dust. My wife has a C7 with Brembos and they help. Worth a shot.
