    Oil Separator?

Can someone tell me if the oil separator is really necessary on a new 2019 GT 350?

I read on this forum with a video stating that it is a necessity.

    Thank you.

Not "required" but certainly a wise investment if you plan on keeping your car.

Agreed, installing one on the passenger side is highly recommended, don't need one on the driver side unless you are heavily tracking the car.

It's one of those things that should have been standard. It is not expensive and takes 10 minutes to install. Passenger side highly recommended!

Thank you. Just purchased and will be doing it next week. Only have 230 miles on it and driving it easy for the first 1k miles or so.

Hopefully no oil has gone into the intake yet. I did have a few spurts to 5k rpm.... real short spurt.

Ordered both sides, very impressed with the fit, finish, and OEM appearance!

Do you have both sides and see more collecting in your passenger side? I've seen more than one person recommend that side primarily but haven't seen anything as to why.

The passenger is the Windage side of the engine. This means the majority of the blowback will be on that side in most cases and there is where you will see the most benefit of an oil separator. There is nothing wrong will putting both sides on, there are no cons and plenty of pros!
