    Shoes for best clutch engagement

As the title states, I stalled twice today because my feet were so sweaty from the engine heat near the console and the activities prior to getting into the car and it kept slipping off the clutch pedal . Just was wondering what everyone for the best clutch engagement.

My 2 cents and experience, but first I have to ask a question. Have you been on the track yet and do you have any experience with heel/toe braking? Doing this varies significantly until you get to do it on the track. This is because you are braking harder and quicker in a controlled environment with less danger to other drivers as your brake pedal throw is deeper giving your foot better access to the gas pedal for a heel/toe maneuver and blipping.

Alternatively, there are aftermarket pedal adapters but I'm not sure they are necessary and I use standard tennis shoes although quite wide (Salomon Cross Trek Runners) without much trouble.

Having said that and reread your post, your slipping off the clutch pedal which sounds odd to me. I even drive it with dress shoes that are flat leather bottoms without tread and don't have problems. Perhaps another shoe and or more driving experience with the car? Maybe! I suppose you could always add some skate board grip tape to the pedal as I do find it odd that the pedals have small rubber strips on satin metal pedals or however you want to call it.
