Passenger Side Ford Performance Oil/Air Seperator

Just installed this unit in my 2017 GT350. Went in fine except how the instructions say to put on the smaller hose (not the one that goes to the valve cover) it gets pinched. Tried every which way. It's like the hose is too long. When I install it with the 90 degree part to the canister it doesn't pinch. My question is, does it matter? If the 90 degree part is on the canister side even though the instructions show it the other way around? Is the hose too long? Should I return the unit and get another one or a different manufacturer? If my description doesn't make sense I can add pics.

The instructions are definitely wrong. I had the same problem as you. I went back and watched a youtube video, flipped the hose around and it fits fine now.
